Plans for re-opening!

Uncategorized

First of all, we want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support in the past two weeks. All of your kind words and actions have really helped us through this challenging time.

We are especially grateful to the Ithaca Fire Department for their courageous work. They put their lives on the line for our community every day, and we don’t realize what a gift that is until something like this happens. They put out a raging fire in less than an hour and made sure that everyone was safe.

We have a clean up crew hard at work on the building, and now things are looking up! Everyone has been asking about when we will be open again, and we have some tentative plans in place. Dates are subject to change, so check back.

Friday, November 5th we will be open on the second floor (entrance between Petrune and Brotchen), where we will be running a “Fire Sale” (literally) of 50% off everything that was in our store before the fire. There are tons of wonderful one of a kind vintage items, as well as all our new lines like Tulle, BB Dakota, and Alternative Apparel. It will be a great time for bargains on your Fall/Winter wardrobes.Scratch that, we will be opening with all new merchandise at the Holiday Spirit Store across the street. The Fire sale can wait until we have our old space back.

Friday, December 3rd will be our grand re-opening of the main store. We will have a whole new look and all new (to us) vintage clothing, as well as lots of other things. It will be a great time for Christmas shopping, and finding exciting one of a kind treasures. We hope to be back in our building ASAP, but construction always takes longer than we’d like. The good news is that our store will look a million times cooler once we polish up the mosaic tile that was under the carpet.

In the mean time, if you have a store credit, or a worried about returns etc. please rest assured that we will honor all past agreements, and make allowances for the time we were closed. We can’t wait to re-open and see all of you again!

Petrune was forced to temporarily close our doors after a fire in our basement this morning. The Ithaca Journal has a decent followup from the events of the day. We definitely took a hit, but we aren’t out! We’re already working on plans to restock our inventory and we’ll need your support. Friend us on Facebook and follow this blog for updates on the renovations and our upcoming events.

A Vintage Halloween

Special Events

No Halloween costume yet? No problem! We know how hard it can be to find the perfect disguise, especially when most stores only offer dime-a-dozen choices.

For the next few weeks, look to Petrune both in-store and online for┬ábeautifully individual vintage costume ideas. Our first option comes from the popular childrens books, “Where’s Waldo?
